(This isn't a complete transcript of the episode. I've only transcribed a few scenes.)
[Scene: Hotel Room. Woody and Sam are asleep in bed together. Sam wakes up and groans.]
SAM: Oh, I'm so hung over my hair hurts.
WOODY: Good morning, starshine.
(Sam quickly jumps out of bed.)
SAM: What are you doing here? We didn't? Did we?
WOODY: The answer to most of those questions is tequila.
SAM: Oh my god. All right, you better tell me what happened.
WOODY: You mean you don't remember?
SAM: Tequila's like amnesia in a bottle for me. I really don't remember.
WOODY: All right, well, it all started yesterday morning.
SAM: I remember yesterday morning, fast forward to last night.
WOODY: Whoa, whoa, whoa. It's my story and I want it to start yesterday morning. We just took down Jimmy Ning.
[Flashback]
WOODY: Can I buy you a drink?
SAM: Raw vegetable juice?
WOODY: No, 7 days is long enough. I was thinking of something a little stronger.
[Back to hotel room]
WOODY: So you agreed to meet me for a drink. All I gotta do is give a statement to Las Vegas metro before I head back to Boston. Which I do quick fast and I jammed back to the Montecito to come meet you.
SAM: Wow.
[Flashback. Woody is sitting at a blackjack table. He's trying to call Sam on his cell.]
WOODY: (on phone) Uh, hey, Sam, it's Woody. Again. Leaving, like, a second, third, tenth message on your voicemail. Uh, I got your drink here waiting in the casino. Um, anyhoo... You probably can't get through to me because I've only got, like, one bar down here. So it's probably going straight to voicemail. And, uh, I'm pretty sure you've got my number. So, um, yeah. Woody. Casino. Waiting.
DEALER: Your bet, sir?
WOODY: (on phone) Okay. Toodles.
[Scene: Montecito. Lobby. Jordan is at the front desk. Danny walks up to her.]
DANNY: So I guess you found one of those flying rooms after all, huh? Hi. (They hug.) How are you?
JORDAN: Great.
DANNY: You look beautiful.
JORDAN: Thank you. I should have known you'd surprise me before I could find you. Hey, is this a good time?
DANNY: Uh, we are kind of in the middle of something right now.
JORDAN: Oh, I'm sorry. Spontaneity. I should have called.
DANNY: No, no, no, no. I'm glad you're here. It shouldn't take more than a few hours. I tell you what. You're probably exhausted from the flight. I'm gonna call downstairs, set you up with the spa. You can relax, take it easy, and I'll call you when I'm done.
JORDAN: Okay. Hey, uh, that thing you're in the middle of. What is it?
DANNY: Uh, kidnapping.
JORDAN: Really?
[Scene: Casino. Woody is waiting there. Sam walks up to him.]
SAM: Hey. Woody. I've been looking for you everywhere.
WOODY: You don't call back so you make it look like the other guy's fault trick.
SAM: Yeah, that's my specialty. So funny. Hey, listen, I need a little favour.
WOODY: You hurt my feelings. No.
SAM: I have a client who wants a cop to bodyguard his beautiful daughter.
WOODY: No.
SAM: Pays $2000 a night.
WOODY: No.
SAM: I'll come with and pretend like I'm madly in love with you.
WOODY: Okay. Oh, hey, I've just gotta make sure I'm back here by midnight.
WOODY VOICEOVER: And so we begin phase one of my master plan.
[Scene: Spa. Jordan and Delinda are laying on tables with cucumber slices over their eyes. Jordan is wrapped in plastic.]
JORDAN: So you used to date Danny too?
DELINDA: Yeah. For like a second and a half.
JORDAN: What's that they say about not pooping where you eat?
DELINDA: I don't buy that at all. I think it's totally natural to go out with people you work with. So, what about you and Woody?
JORDAN: Oh, that's a whole other can of worms right there.
DELINDA: At least Danny could have done is taken the day off for you.
JORDAN: He said that you and your dad were working on a kidnapping?
DELINDA: Those two are always up to something. Kidnapping schmidnapping.
JORDAN: I wanted to help out but I didn't want to look like I was interfering. Then Danny told me to come down to the spa and just chill out.
DELINDA: Girl, you're a medical examiner for the city of Boston. You should do whatever you want to do.
JORDAN: You know what? You're right. Chill out, my ass. (She has trouble sitting up.) Uh, Delinda, could you give me a hand here?
DELINDA: Oh, yeah, sure.
JORDAN: I'm over here on your left.
[Scene: Montecito. Casino. Jordan and Danny are walking towards the Lobby.]
JORDAN: You know when you think you've got things all figured out?
DANNY: Never turns out the way you figured. I know. Doesn't mean you've gotta turn around and go home. You could at least stay the night.
JORDAN: I don't know what I thought was gonna happen here. Okay. Maybe I had an idea but, you know, just because something can happen, doesn't mean...
DANNY: Why didn't you just come out and say it?
JORDAN: I wanted to be ready. I really, really wanted to be ready. And I thought I was, otherwise I wouldn't have just jumped on that plane.
DANNY: But?
JORDAN: But I think all I'm really ready for right now is cheap meaningless sex. And I wouldn't want to drop you down my level. Then I'd have to call you the next morning.
DANNY: You wouldn't have to call me. Look, timing is everything and maybe you're right, maybe right now isn't the best time.
JORDAN: So this is it then?
DANNY: Yeah. (He kisses her on the cheek.) Have a safe flight back.
JORDAN: Thanks.
DANNY: Okay.
(Jordan starts to walk off but stops.)
JORDAN: You know, a medical examiner always reserves the right to change her mind.
(Danny smiles and walks off.)
